IPL mini auction 2024 is all set to take on December 23 in Kochi with a list of 405 players to fulfill the 87 slots in 10 IPL franchises. In the history of the IPL auction, BCCI has permitted video conferencing with the team management and staff on the auction table for the first time. IPL 2024 is going to be the sixteenth edition of the competition.
Each of squad may have a maximum of 25 players and a minimum of 18 players. The franchise allows a maximum of 8 foreign players in a team.
The winner of IPL 2022, Gujrat Titans, have kept 18 of their players and have seven slots left out for the three more overseas. Gujrat Titans was a very balanced side in the last edition of the franchise, but this franchise will focus on some slots.
Indian swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan became the most expensive signing of the IPL 2022 auction after Mumbai Indians bought him for a price of INR 15.25 crore.
One of the most surprising headline omissions was Sunrisers Hyderabad releasing their captain Kane Williamson, while IPL legends Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard have both retired from the IPL.

The IPL auction will go for the likes of Stokes, Cameron Green, Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Agrawal, Harry Brook, Kane Williamson, and Sam Curran, among others, expected to make big bucks with different teams hoping to bid big on them.

The IPL auction 2024 is all set to take place in the Grand Hyatt hotel Kochi, Kerala. The live coverage of the auction 2024 will start at 2:30 pm (IST). IPL 2024 mini-auction will be live on the Star Sports Network. Viacom 18 will offer live streaming of the IPL 2024 auction on Jio Cinema.
