A recent survey has found that most people, especially Indians prefer the hybrid work model over the traditional method of work.
The pandemic has radically influenced the work lives of many of us, bringing to light the future window of the potentiality of office jobs, be it remote, in-person or hybris (a blend of both).
LinkedIn, the world’s largest online professional networking platform, conducted an online survey, ‘Future of Work’ by the research firm Censuswide. The survey primarily subjects the perception of more than 1100 people between 16 to 68 who continued working from home during the pandemic regulations.
Thousands of people have experienced the culture of remote work due to the pandemic. As a result, the companies and employees are beginning to wonder if they need to reexplore the lifestyle, expectations and traditional policies, which may suggest a permanent adaption of the hybrid work model. LinkedIn addressed this new era of work as one of the greatest’ reshuffles’ and said that the future of work is flexible.
Professionals About The Hybrid Work Model
Approximately 86 per cent of Indian professionals believe that a hybrid work model, wherein they work from the office a few times a week, would substantially enable them to strike a balance between their personal and professional lives.
The majority of the working professionals are convinced that a hybrid work model can take the edge off the pressure and distress they feel. As specified by 48% of employees, the hybrid model will help them invest a significant amount of time in their personal goals, leading to accomplishing their dreams and interests.
Two out of five professionals want to continue working remotely in the future as well as they can choose their work location and span, having more time to spend with their family and friends.
Even though the hybrid work model is the preference for many, several are craving to go back to the office. Seven out of ten workers say that permanent work from home may impact their career growth unfavourably.
They even hold work from home accountable for their slackening professional learning as going to the office allowed them to learn from their peers, bosses and leaders. About half the workforce wishes to return to the office full time, claiming that it helps them stay productive.
They also mentioned missing the fun and interaction with people working from the office.
The Significant Reshuffle: An Opportunity
LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky said employees worldwide might feel a tad of pressure adjusting to the new work environment. Still, they are optimistic about the opportunities for diversity, flexibility and skill development.
While the ‘great reshuffle’ is gradually effectuating into permanency, nearly half the workers feel that presenting hybrid, remote, and flexible working options is their company’s way forward.
The leaders are well aware of the few hindrances needed to ensure the hybrid work model work and the future benefits are clear. They are confident that this new work model will escort the companies towards a more diverse workforce.
The survey results also suggest that implementing the hybrid work model can lead to a broader talent pool as offering greater flexibility will appeal to a wide range of people.
Despite all the obstacles that employees and employers will need to cross together, people are optimistic that the significant reshuffle is undoubtedly the most exciting opportunity the white-collar workers have had in a while.
With the moderated lockdown, several companies have asked employees to resume working from an office on alternate days or at least twice or thrice a week.
