Israel has threatened Iran with military action, despite the fact that nuclear talks between Iran and the US appear to be nowhere near completion.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett met with the UN’s watchdog’s visiting head on Friday for talks about Iran’s nuclear program. According to a statement from Bennett’s office, the leader warned IAEA chairman Rafael Grossi that Iran was forging ahead with nuclear weapons development while fooling the world with “fake information and lies” to hide its efforts.
Iran, according to Bennet, used information taken from the UN’s nuclear watchdog to hide the fact that it was engaging in prohibited nuclear operations.
The prime minister’s claim comes ahead of a conference next week at which IAEA chief Rafael Grossi is expected to give a report on the agency’s investigation into unexplained nuclear material discovered at three undeclared facilities in Iran.
According to the Reuters news agency, which has read the study,
“Iran has not presented explanations that are technically believable in relation to the Agency’s findings at those locations.”
‘U.S. and Israel vs Iran’
Since the U.S. walked out on Iran due to their nuclear designs which they claim to be peaceful, Tehran has increased its uranium enrichment which can be used to produce bombs.
The Biden administration has been attempting to renew the agreement, which removed sanctions in exchange for curbs on Iran’s nuclear development and oversight. Ali Bagheri Kani, Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator commented on Israel at Norway’s NRK that Israel can only attack Iran in its dreams.
“And if they do have such a dream, they will never wake up from it,”
Bagheri Kani, who is on an official visit to Norway, was cited as saying by Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency.
Iran holds Israel responsible for the assassinations of military personnel and scientists that are involved in the nuclear program of the middle east country. Hossein Amirabdollahian, Iran’s foreign minister stated that immediate actions will be taken against any moves by U.S. and European countries at the IAEA.
He also added that the IAEA head’s visit to Israel violates the impartiality professed by the agency.
