Karthik’s father and his family are in Sydney, hoping that the fairy tale story of our time will have a happy ending, depicting his story from Kuwait to Chennai.

About DK’s T20 world cup 2022
Pragmatic Krishna thinks this T20 world cup could be his son’s last. In recent years, there hasn’t been a better fairy tale in Indian cricket than his son’s comeback. But there was a little bit of a fairy tale at the beginning of the trip. When Karthik was 12, his father made a strange choice. Krishna was a teacher in Kuwait. He wanted his son Karthik to play cricket, but he knew that Karthik had to be in India. The boy’s parents made the hard decision to send him from Kuwait to Chennai to live with his sister-in-law.
Coaches vision about Dinesh Karthik
It had been a couple of weeks. Nothing significant took place. Only the father and the youngster were there, kicking around some balls in the hopes of attracting the attention of a coach.
The following day, a local coach by the name of CS Suresh Kumar came across us.
Dinesh Karthik was a little guy, but the way he moved always managed to get people’s attention. Suresh was taken aback by it. And he led us in the direction of the entrance. Dinesh started a new chapter in his life when he relocated into the home of my brother’s wife and began attending a new school.

A few months later, Dinesh’s performance declined, but he didn’t tell his father why; his sister-in-law urged Karthik to devote more time to his academics. The couple determined that the mother would relocate to India, while the father would remain in Kuwait. Thus began a father’s journey from Kuwait to Chennai
Seven years later, at the age of 19, Karthik will make his Test debut for India. The shutters were pulled back to reveal the legend, MS Dhoni. The years passed by. Then, when Dhoni quit the kingdom behind the wickets, Rishabh Pant emerged as a new emerging star, and Karthik appeared to have become a pundit, he reappeared as The Finisher to secure a world-cup spot.
Abhisekh Nayar is a blessing as a coach and mentor
Abhishek Nayar’s father says he transformed his life. The Mumbai batsman and an old friend became Karthik’s tutor, forcing him out of his comfort zone. By 2018, IPL coach Nayar had encouraged Karthik to become a specialist death batsman.
Nayar made him run over hills at 2 a.m. He designed practice sessions and traveled like a tennis player. RX Murali is a hitting coach. His crew works with him. Dinesh has told me to videotape conversations with Nayar a few times. “It’s hard for a common man to understand,” adds Krishna. He trusted his coach, trainer, and psychologist to become a death batter. Once restless and jittery, he’s now a cool finisher who doesn’t even appeal behind the stumps.
Things started going well. The chants of “DK DK” heard in the cricket stadium today are taking it to a new level. Imagine replacing a dynamic talent like Pant while yet enjoying a loyal following worldwide.
On Rohit- DK relationship
Not just admirers, but also Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, esteem him. He often consults Karthik while on the field. Many of his teammates also have faith in him. He is friendly with Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul. He gets along really well with Kohli. Whether R Ashwin is bowling well or not, he will continue to speak to him in Tamil while they are in the nets.
