Kerala tops the ranking in Asia for Start-up Ecosystem, however fourth in Global Startup Ecosystem Report.
On Tuesday 14th June, GSER was released, in which start-up founders, investors, global governments and corporate leaders took part to discuss various technologies for the society. In 2020, Kerala ranked fifth in Asia and twentieth in global records. Through government support and tech talent, Kerala is been able to achieve this success. The state has shown encouragement for enhancing the start-ups in the state.
What is Start-up Ecosystem?
It is formed by people, start-ups in different levels, various organisations with the help of the government, in different locations, interacting with different people to make small start-up companies. In India, the government has taken initiative to build start-ups, for which different schemes have also been introduced. With start-ups, employment can be generated, interacting network of people and environment.
How Kerala achieved their goal?
With the help of the government and their various schemes, people came forward to start their own small and also an encouragement among the people.
During the pandemic, many jobs were lost. Due to this start-up became a successful initiative in Kerala.
This year’s ranking of the state will make it possible for more people to take start-up schemes seriously.
Government is very excited to see the growth of start-ups in Kerala and its successful achievement is a good example for the rest of the states in the country.
During 2019-21, Kerala was able to create a start-up ecosystem worth Rs 1037.05 crore, which was only possible due to government support and special incentives.
The start-up initiative was taken in other states also. Bengaluru ranked 22nd on the list, Delhi made an impressive move to 26th and Mumbai at 36th position.
They were around 140 ecosystems. Top Asian ecosystems were measured by the experts on the basis of talent, experience and long-term basis program.
