Senegalese center-back Koulibaly to join the North London club this season.Chelsea has an absolute agreement with Italian giants Napoli to sign their star center-back Kalidou Koulibaly for this season.
Napoli star to join the Thomas Tuchel camp for 40 million euros plus add-ons. Everything is agreed between clubs as well as with the player it’s just about a fraction of the moment that Koulibaly pens the signature.
Senegalese star will sign a long-term contract with the blues as soon as he completes medical formalities. Former Napolean center back will earn 10 million euros per season playing for Chelsea football club. He will complete his medical formalities tonight. Chelsea owner made the moves faster as Bayern was also giving stiff competition.
Koulibaly made his debut for Napoli in 2014. He has played for Naples based club for 8 seasons. He has more than 300 caps under his belt in which he scored 14 and assisted 8 goals.
Since the last two seasons, Koulibaly is considered to be among the top central defenders in Europe.With the Italian club, Napoli Koulibaly has won two trophies Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup.
Koulibaly also features regularly for his national team Senegal. He was also part of the Senegal team which won the latest edition of AFCON- African continental competition.This experienced center back will be a key asset in Tuchel’s tactics.
Even after signing Koulibaly, top priority for Chelsea remains Nathan Ake. According to reports, Chelsea will also try to sign Mathis De Ligt from Italian giants and Turin club Juventus.
Many fans were hoping for a reunion of former two Juventus teammates De Ligt and Cristiano Ronaldo. According to recent reports from the king of transfers Fabrizio Romano, Thomas Tuchel is not interested in signing the 37-years-old Portuguese Talisman.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes was in direct contact with the new Chelsea owner Todd Bohley to discuss the potential transfer of Ronaldo. But the final decision was in hands of Thomas Tuchel who reportedly has shown the red light for the transfer.
Now, Jorge Mendes is no more in contact with Chelsea, it’s now only up to Tuchel to change the direction of this transfer.
