FDCI x Lakmé Fashion week is India’s premier fashion and lifestyle event creating experiences and redefining fashion for 25 years.
With over 100+ designers, brands and industries interfacing every season through the 5 days of showcases. It has established itself as the hub of emerging talents from around the country and
business of fashion and sustainability.
Lakmé Fashion week is being collaborative with FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) this season starting from 12th October 2022 to 16th October 2022 in Mumbai.
The schedule comprises designers and brands from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and across India.
The first day of LFW itself showcased different designers and the main attraction were the celebrity showstoppers for different designers, stars like Kriti Sanon, Diana Penty, Mrunal Thakur and Gauhar khan.
After a gap of 12 years Shahab Durazi returned to the show with his sartorial designs and regal collection which always has a story to tell every time it hits the limelight.
The audience gave a standing ovation to the designer and his collection on the ramp walk.
Celebrity designer Anamika Khan brought her AK-OK vibes at the opening show of LFW x FDCI with breezy designs. She is known for good vibes and energy designing, couture and innovative ways of her designs.
Another Celebrity designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil choose Kriti Sanon as their showstopper.
She embraced a sparkling lehenga which dazzled the entire ramp.
The actress wore the designer’s bridal collection titled Capella for the upcoming brides to be of the wedding season.
The sparkling silver lehenga featured with embroidery and was paired up with a matching choli that highlighted the plunging neckline and an inverted hem at the center. Giving a modern touch to the otherwise traditional piece and a dupatta worn as a cape.

The actress wore the designer’s bridal collection titled Capella for the upcoming brides to be of the wedding season.
Her look was glam up with a beautiful neckpiece and a few matching rings, as she opted for smoky eyes, glossy nude lips, and defined eyebrows, and wore her hair down with a middle parting.
The embroidery on the collection has been inspired by Baroque motif leaves, lace, and architecture. “Everything has been exaggerated in terms of silhouettes to match with the opulence of the early 17th century. The colours used this season were off-white, mint-gold, and charcoal, to the interiors of a Baroque palace,” a post from the Lakme Fashion Week’s Instagram page.
Another actor who walked the ramp on the first day was Mrunal Thakur who was seen in the creation from Mishru’s collection titled as ‘Form & Feeling’. The actor dazzled in a red floral lehenga set that highlighted and elaborated embroidery work consisting of hand-cut 3D flowers and embellishments. The lehenga was paired with a matching dupatta, and blouse that featured broad straps and the plunging neckline.
Breaking the dullness of the look with a green choker and a pair of matching earrings, Smokey kohled eyes with winged eyeliner, highlighted cheekbones, perfectly done eye brows, glossy lips, and wet-styled hair.
Diana Penty who kept it sparkly in a sequined gold-toned ensemble by Pallavi Mohan from the designer’s ‘Not So Serious’ collection : an ode to the feisty force of friendship, its vibrancy, and energy.
The shimmery backless sheer gown with cutouts was paired with minimum jewellery and paired with nude coloured stilettos. Diana dazzled with well-defined eye makeup and nude lips, short hair styled in a side parting.
Gauahar Khan too walked the ramp on the first day of LFW in a one-shoulder blue and grey two-toned dress that featured an asymmetrical hemline.
Accessorizing it with a pair of earrings, she chose black strappy stilettos and a side-swept gelled hairdo to round off her look. The actor walked the ramp for the INIFD Launchpad.
