In the wake of the recent clashes along the border with China, the Indian Army is all set to be armed with the latest assault rifles and all-terrain vehicles. Deployed to soldiers in the North Sikkim area, intensifying the capabilities of India’s troops.
The focus is to intensify capacity and enable soldiers, mainly those posted in harsh and challenging terrain. It is to undertake their operational tasks with proficiency. In the last couple of years, the Indian Army engaged sophisticated weapon platforms and modern equipment, said the Army.
Indian remarked on its rapid capability enhancement drive. Plus, 7.62 mm Sig Sauers are taken to count soldiers posted at high-altitude regions.
Soldiers posted in Muguthang Sub Sector in North Sikkim at a more than 15,500 feet super high-altitude region. In addition to ATVs and 7.62 mm, SiG Sauers could be seen operating in that region.
The Force emphasized that the “Indian Army is in stride with the future and ever ready to defend the Nation’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.“
