Varta Trust, which is a Kolkata-based NGO gender and sexuality-themed, has recently launched an online LGBTQ locator, its Pan India Online Locator on queer-friendly resources.
This was done in collaboration with Grindr for Equality, Los Angeles, and SAATHI, Chennai.
In partnership with Grindr for Equality, Los Angeles, and SAATHII, Chennai, the Kolkata-based non-profit Varta Trust, which focuses on gender and sexuality, has just released its Pan-India Online Locator on queer-friendly resources.
This online locator was launched on 4th June and has amazing features that allow searching for services by state, town, or city, also the nature of service and the different sub-sections of the LGBTQ community that are offered by the service providers.
For instance- any user can locate the service providers the transgenders or gay men with HIV.
The Kolkata-based NGO, Varta Trust highlights the importance of any individual not feeling distraught about what they or the choices they make.
Varta’s website editor Pawan Dhall, states that Varta’s main aim is anti-discrimination for all the LGBTQ across inter-nationality. It also promotes Citizen Journalism as well as advocacy.

The locator, which went live on June 4, contains features that let users look for services by state, city or town, type of service, as well as the various gay community sub-sections that the service providers cater to. A user will be able to find service providers who specialise in helping groups like transgender males, Hijras, or homosexual men living with HIV, for instance.
Varta Trust emphasises how critical it is for everyone to not feel guilty or regrettable about who they are or the decisions they make.
