Such exceptionally well these sports people have played that the entire country has a buffed chest with pride.
In fields like 10000 m walking-run, long jump, lawn bowl, badminton, table tennis, high jump, etc the players have put an exemplary performance in Commonwealth games 2022. This time the players performed for pride, not medals; as medals followed them.
The medals that followed
India’s second gold medal of the day was won by Lakshya Sen, who brought India’s tally to 201 gold medals and 20 in that edition. Australia leads the number of gold medals, followed by England, Canada, and India in fourth place.

On the final day PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, and the pair of Satwisairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty won their last games with three gold medals in badminton. The highlight was Eldhose Paul and Abdulla Aboobacker winning gold and silver in the men’s triple jump. Amit Panghal, Nikhat Zareen, Nitu and Sagar all won gold medals in boxing. The Indian women’s hockey team won bronze by beating New Zealand in a penalty shootout. The Indian women’s cricket team won silver after losing to Australia in the final.
