Erik further clarified about Ronaldo – “I deal with the players we have and we plan with him [Ronaldo] for this season and we have to fit him into the team so he has to come at the right fitness levels so that he can do the job that we expect him to do.”
Erik said – “In every press conference we already confirmed that he is in our plans. We plan with him so we also plan around him.”
“Now we are in the department of midfield and offense, you have seen when we have one injury that we have a problem. That’s clear.”

Erik also said “Of course, there are developments in the transfer market but still we have to get the players in who can contribute and not get players in who cannot do. Then we have to do with the squad and then we have to improve the team.”
Ten Hag is happy with the club signings till now. He said, “It’s really complicated [in the transfer market], I can tell you, but I think we are really happy with what we have done until now. I think that was the positive point from last week and the week before.”
Erik was asked if he has spoken to Rashford about the recent reports – “Not yet but he knows I love him, he knows I want him to be here so I will tell him that again.”
