Manchester City looked to be heading for their first defeat in the Champions League this season when Jude Bellingham scored a header in the 56th minute. John Stones equalized for the hosts in the 80th minute from distance before Erling Haaland scored an outrageous goal for the win.
Manchester City sits on top of Group G with 6 points in 2 matches while Dortmund sits on 2nd with one win and one defeat. City defeated Sevilla in the opening matchday 4-0. Sevilla is last in the table with one defeat and one draw, against Cophenhagen yesterday.
Manchester City turnaround after Haaland strike
Former Haaland teammate, 19-year-old Jude Bellingham showed his class against the Premier League Champions. Marco Reus missed to score from a counter-attack but soon sent a ball later to Bellingham who smashed it beyond City goalkeeper Ederson which sparked wild celebrations from the away fans.
Pep Guardiola sent Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez, and Bernardo Silva later in the match as he hoped for a turnaround. His wishes were granted as Haaland was getting more involved after being neglected all game with the least touches of any player on the pitch.
Coming from behind is something Manchester City has pulled off a lot in recent times, against Aston Villa in the final match of last season and a recent win again Crystal Palace. Someday City will lose but for now, Haaland is keeping up with the expectations. Guardiola compared Erling Haaland to Johan Cruyff and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as his acrobatic abilities reminded him of the goal Cruyff scored against Athletico Madrid in Camp Nou.

Reactions from Pep Guardiola after the match
“We had a lot of problems to get our rhythm,” said Guardiola. “We were so passive in our transitions. We struggled. We played in the wrong gear. When we realized we were 1-0 down and changed the dynamic on the field [by making three substitutions], it gave us another rhythm. This is who we are. We cannot play the 60 to 65 minutes we played. We are a different team.”
