A video of a woman protestor getting sexually assaulted by anti-riot forces in Iran has gone viral on social media and caused fury among people.
During the wave of protests about “compulsory veils”, a new video is circulating on social media which clearly shows a girl getting touched by a police officer. In a time when women are asking for basic freedom and rights, this video has become the biggest demonstration of how women are getting treated out there.
Many protestors were sentenced to prison and several were sentenced to death.

Footage of the sexual assault of a woman protestor shows that One of the police officers while trying to arrest the girl grabs her by the neck and takes her into a crowd of about two dozen police, many of whom are on motorcycles.
Meanwhile, another officer approaches the girl and puts his left hand on her bottom. She was made to crouch down while officers were surrounding her.
Drivers near the incident started sounding their horns continuously to protest.
A voice was heard saying “ look, they are pulling her hair” which was probably the person who shot the video.
After a bit, the women started running away from the scene.
Again a voice was heard “Look at him [the security force officer], he is laughing”, which was to show a police officer who was laughing during the horrendous behavior.
Many people are demanding the resignation of the police chief after this video got viral.
Following the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old girl died on the 16th of September for breaking hijab rules after being detained by moral police, another 17-year-old teenager Nika Shakarami also faced death right after she took off her hijab during the protest.
Officials said that Mahsa Amini died from a health condition which does not seem to be correct, as per her family she seems to have died after getting beaten by police.
It’s been said that the Officials tried to frame Nika Shakarami’s death as an accident which was a clear case of murder.

Women are publically burning headscarves and cutting their hair to protest against the compulsory veil. they seem to be prepared to sacrifice their educational and professional careers for the privilege of wearing it as a supposed symbol of Muslim identity.
