Paris Saint Germain on Friday informed that the French forward striker Kylian Mbappe had been left out of the squad due to a groin injury.Â
Parisian Kylian Mbappe has sustained an injury due to which he will not be able to participate in the Ligue 1 opener against Clermont Foot. According to reports, he is suffering from a groin injury and is supposed to undergo treatment.Â
Paris Saint Germain announced on Friday that Mbappe had been left out of the squad that would travel to Clermont for Saturday’s game “due to pain in his abductor’s muscles” and would stay behind at the training centre for treatment. However, a further report is to come out within 72 hours, and if everything goes normal, Frenchman may feature against Montpellier.
Previously in July, Mbappe missed the Trophee des champions against the Nantes in Tel Aviv due to a match ban thanks to the yellow cards he acquired last season. Trophee des is a tournament held every year between the French league champions and the French cup winner.
Moreover, Lionel Messi and Neymar are all set to kick start their season, along with the Persian squad and new transfers that have come to the capital of France.Â
Even though the Frenchman’s absence didn’t bother PSG against Nantes and Parisians comfortably defeated them by 4-0. However, Kylian is a crucial team member, and his presence only makes PSG a formidable side. Last season Kylian scored 39 goals across all competitions in 46 appearances, out of which 28 goals came in Ligue.Â
Moreover, in the previous season, he provided 19 assists. Mbappe’s tally of goals and assists make him the highest scorer in the Ligue1 tournament for the season 2021-22. Also, Mbappe’s importance can be measured by the fact that the Parisian President offered him the costliest deal of all time to stay at Le Parc des Princes.
PSG are ready to begin their defence of the Ligue 1 title with a new coach Christophe Galtier having taken over from the sacked Mauricio Pochettino. It would be Galtier’s first season game for Parisians.Â
