On Monday, Motorola released the Moto G72 in India. Under the hood, a MediaTek G99 SoC with 6GB of RAM powers this smartphone. It has a 6.6-inch pOLED display with a 576 Hz touch sampling rate and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone has a 16MP front camera in addition to a triple 108MP rear camera arrangement. The Moto G72 features a 5,000 mAh battery and Turbo Power fast charging at 30W. It runs Android 12 out of the box. 

The official Twitter handle of Motorola India took posted about the sale and availability of Moto G72 on Flipkart.


The price and availability of the Moto G72

For the lone 6GB of RAM with 128GB storage model, the Moto G72 costs ₹ 18,999. Polar Blue and Meteorite Grey colour choices will be offered. This phone will go on sale on October 12 at 12 PM through Flipkart

It’s interesting that the smartphone will be sold for an effective price of  ₹ 14,999, which includes launch deals valid for a short time. According to Motorola, these include a ₹ 3,000 exchange discount and a  ₹ 1,000 immediate discount from specific institutions.

Screen and Storage

The My UX skin created by the firm is applied on top of Android 12 for the dual-SIM (Nano) Moto G72. The device has a 6.6-inch FHD+ pOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 576Hz. The system’s MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and 6GB of RAM provide power to the gadget. 


The Moto G72 has three rear cameras, including a 108MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture lens for optics. The device also includes a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens and an 8MP hybrid ultra-wide angle and depth camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens. This Moto smartphone has a 16MP front-facing camera with an f/2.45 aperture. 

Battery Life

The phone has a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged at 30W TurboPower. The Moto G72 weighs 166 grammes and has a thickness of 7.99mm. Motorola claims it has an IP52 water-repellent build. It has nearly stock Android 12 out of the box, and the manufacturer promises an update to Android 12.

Sound System

In addition, Motorola offers three years of security updates. It includes two stereo speakers that enable Dolby Atmos right out of the box. 


The 128GB of built-in storage on the Moto G72 may be increased further using a hybrid microSD card slot. The smartphone has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/AGPS, and other connectivity options.


An accelerometer, proximity sensor, light sensor, compass, and an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication are among the sensors on board. 


Meteorite Grey and Polar Blue are the two colours available for the Moto G72.
