According to L’Equipe( a renowned French sports daily newspaper), the Paris Saint-Germain(PSG) star Neymar has agreed to join the Saudi Arab club Al-Hilal on a two-year deal.
L’Equipe on Sunday revealed that the Brazilian forward will receive a total of 160 million euros over the period of two years. However, no details were mentioned about the charges for the transfer fee of him.
Earlier, the PSG forward was also linked with a return to his former club Barcelona FC.
ESPN said on its website that the Saudi Club has agreed to a $ 98.6 deal with the defending French champions PSG for Neymar.
Romano also says that the Saudi Club has been preparing formalities and the 31-year-old has already agreed to the move.
The Brazillian player has been out of action since March due to ankle ligament surgeries. He also missed the Japan 2024 tour where PSG faced Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
He was out for their season opener against Lorient due to a Viral Syndrome. His current contract with the Paris Club is valid until 2025.
The rich Saudi Club had also offered a record-breaking deal of 300 million euros to the French striker but the 24-year-old had snubbed their deal as he aims to win the Champions League.
He had clearly denied any conversations with the club officials during their visit to Paris. The French skipper was also linked with a move to Real Madrid next year on a free transfer.
Luis Enquire has also been in contact to join the Saudi Club after being in PSG from 2012.
Kylian Mbappe to stay at PSG:
The FIFA World Cup final star Kylian Mbappe was reinstated into PSG’s first team on Sunday days after their talks to be not in the club for the upcoming season. Following Mbappe’s positive talks with the Paris Club he was included in the first squad overnight.
The official statement stated that “ Following a very constructive and positive conversation between PSG and Kylian Mbappe before the game vs Lorient, he has been reinstated into PSG’s first team training squad this morning”.
The defending champions began their campaign with a draw at their home on August 13. Marco Verrati was also not included in the first team list alongside his teammates Neymar and Mbappe. Six new players made debuts for PSG in the absence of these stars.
It proved to be a positive situation for both as the earlier conversation stated that PSG would bench the highest goal scorer of their club if he fails to land a new club.
With the inclusion of his French teammate Ousmane Dembele in PSG, the attacking duo would help the club to accomplish their dreams. Dembele left Barcelona and joined PSG on a five-year deal.
The PSG president Nasser-al-Khelaifi also said that if Kylian wants to stay here he must sign a new contract otherwise it is impossible to let go of the best player in the world for free.
The French sensation is on every club’s list as the young professional is one of the best-emerging strikers in the world. Winning his maiden FIFA Cup in 2018 the skipper almost got close to regaining the title as he scored a hat-trick in the final against Messi’s Argentina.
Mbappe’s PSG will play their Ligue 1 match against Toulouse FC at their home ground on August 20.
