A battle of cruise missiles was fired by North Korea into the Yellow Sea at 4 am Saturday, considered as a “retaliation” over the protest of the arrival of a nuclear US submarine at a South Korean port- between China and the Korean Peninsula, says the South Korean Chief of Staffs.
“Our military has bolstered surveillance and vigilance while closely cooperating with the United States and maintaining a firm readiness posture,” the JCS said, in the report of South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency.
This was the second attempt while adding to its bombardment of missile launches in recent months. The first missile attempt flew over Japan before crashing into the country’s East Coast. When questioned about the fate of the detained US soldier Travis King, North Korea maintained “public silence,” while the US authorities claimed he “willfully” crossed the North Korean border.

On Wednesday, North Korea shot two short-range ballistic missiles from an area near its capital, Pyongyang, and hovered for about 550 kilometers, prior to touchdown in the waters of the east Korean Peninsula.
The flight distance of these missiles approximately matched the distance between Pyongyang and the South Korean port city of Busan, where the USS Kentucky on Tuesday made the first visit by a US explosive, armed with nuclear energy submarine to South Korea since the 1980s.

Ahead of the submarine’s arrival, a North Korean Defence Ministry spokesperson had notified that the categorization of nuclear assets to the Korean Peninsula “may incite the worst crisis of nuclear conflict in practice.”
North Korea’s Defence Minister Kang Sun-nam said the Ohio-class submarine’s categorisation “may have fallen under the conditions of the use of nuclear weapons specified in the DPRK law on the nuclear force policy,” using an abbreviation for North Korea’s official name.
The Evolution of the Allies

Battle of Missiles – Threatening The South and Response
North Korea’s Defence minister issued a disguised threat on Thursday hinting that the docking of Kentucky in South Korea could be the base for a nuclear attack by the North and has used such boasts before, but the comments reinforced how the relations are unnatural now.
South Korea’s Defense Ministry, on Friday, described the deployment of Kentucky and the nuclear contingency planning meetings between Washington and Seoul as “defensive response measures” to counter the North Korean threat and claimed it “strongly warns” that any nuclear attack by the North on the allies would face an “immediate, overwhelming and decisive response … that would bring an end to the North Korean regime.”
“We will make it impossible for North Korea to ever think of a nuclear provocation, and have clearly warned that if it does, it will lead to the end of its regime,” Yoon Suk Yeol said in a speech.
