Firing-stone pelting on the journey; By looting the bus, one and a half walls of the police station, vehicles were set on fire
Two home guard jawan was killed and several policemen and around 24 people were injured in stone pelting and firing during the Brajmandal 84 Corps Shobha Yatra taken out by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Matri Shakti Durga Vahini, and Bajrang Dal on Monday. Along with the people involved in the yatra, stones were also pelted at the policemen.
Apart from this, the mob tried to attack the Mahadev temple located in Singar village and pelted stones, in which many police personnel sitting in the security got injured. At the same time, the sarpanch, police, and other people of the village did not allow the miscreants to enter the temple.
Sarpanch Saqib of Mewat’s biggest Singar village says that everything was peaceful in his village till around 5 pm on Monday. He said that a person from his village had taken his wife to Hodal to get medicines. There some people beat them up and broke the legs of the woman.
After that there was anger among the people present there and during this hundreds of people gathered. People from nearby villages also gathered. After that, the mob started fighting with the passer-by who was coming.
Bus looted, cyber police station wall demolished, vehicles broken
The miscreants looted a private bus. After fighting with the passengers in it, they got off. After this, the miscreants took the bus and reached the cyber police station at Anaj Mandi. Here, an attempt was made to break the gate of the police station before the bus, but when it failed, the miscreants rammed into the wall of the police station and demolished it.
Along with the vehicle of a policeman standing in the police station, four private vehicles were set on fire. The miscreants also damaged the vehicles seized at the police station. At the time of the incident, there were only three-four policemen in the cyber station, who escaped after saving their lives. They also ransacked the vehicles of the jobbers parked in the grain market.
Due to going viral on social media, people reached the village
As soon as the disturbance that started in the afternoon went viral on social media, many people from the villages of Nuh also left for the city. This made the situation worse. The miscreants also forcibly closed the shops and misbehaved with the people on the way. He was assaulted. The miscreants set two-three shops on fire in the market.
Police fired tear gas shells, and policemen were called from neighboring districts
Police had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the unruly crowd. However, they did not show much effect. After this, the police also fired in the air.
In such a situation, the crowd moved away from there and started creating a ruckus at other places in the city. An additional police force was called from Rewari, Palwal, and Gurugram to control the ruckus. About 1000 soldiers were taken to the field.
CM appeals for peace
