Hollywood is all set for the 94th Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in LA. The Oscars are set to unfold on Sunday night with neck-to-neck competition and stars walking down on the red carpet looking their absolute best.
The 94th Oscars are set to return at full capacity after last year’s socially distanced ceremony. After the hostess ceremony last year, this year there are not only two but three hosts: Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes, and Regina Hall.
The stage is all set to witness some of the best performances of the night by Beyonce, Billie Eilish, and Finneas as they are nominated for their songs “Be Alive” and “No Time to Die”.
The presenters for this year’s Oscars are Lady Gaga, Kevin Costner, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, Yuh-Jung Youn, Halle Bailey, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Samuel L. Jackson, Anthony Hopkins, Rami Malek, Simu Liu, and John Travolta among others.
The Power of the Dog, starring Cumberbatch, and Coda, a coming-of-age comedy-drama, about the growing pains of the only hearing member of a deaf family, are the frontrunners for best picture.
Due to the strict COVID-19 protocol, Lil’ Manuel Miranda will not be able to attend Oscar as his wife tested positive for Covid. He is nominated for best original song for his work on the film “Encanto.” Kenneth Branagh also tested positive for Covid-19. He is nominated in the Best Director category for his film “Belfast.”
