Former red devils midfielder Paul Pogba has rejoined the bianconeri club Juventus. He is all set to don the Zebra skin till the end of the 2026 season. French midfielder who was sold for 100 million euros six years ago has returned with the transfer fee of 8 million euros with 2.5 million euros of commission.
Many offers attracted Pogba as his disastrous campaign with Manchester United was nearing the end. Reportedly French magician was also on the radar of the arch-rivals Manchester City. The reports also emerged of Spanish Coach Pep Guardiola being in direct contact with the former United midfielder. But in the end, Pogba chose his club of heart.
Juventus announced the acquisition of the star midfielder on all of their social media handles.
Expectations
Pogba regularly features for both the French national team and his club Manchester United. He had a very tough season as United failed to grab silverware this season as well as failed to qualify for elite continental competition. Meanwhile, the French national team didn’t have a great run too. Pogba and his co failed to clear the group stage of the UEFA Nations League.
All the Juventus and Pogba fans would expect Pogba to come back to his top form. Pogba didn’t live up to his hype in the Manchester United team. The majority of the Manchester United fans didn’t like Pogba after a while. Paul Pogba got injured frequently and didn’t turn up for the big games.
Many United fans felt that the signing of Pogba was an absolute waste. As the French midfielder was expensive and didn’t do what he was brought for.
Even Juventus failed to win Scudetto last season. The signing of Pogba should help Juventus to achieve its domestic objectives. As well as Pogba should be used as an asset to improve their performance in UEFA Champions League.
The transfer of this star midfielder has brought a new spark among football fans. Now the pressure is on Pogba to achieve beyond expectations.
