On Friday, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for diverting Goa’s focus away from pressing issues such as the environment and employment.
Rahul Gandhi slammed Modi to say that if Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had desired, Goa might have been liberated “within hours” of India’s independence in 1947, saying the prime minister did not comprehend the situation the time or what happened after WWII.
