Premier League further stated that after considerable talks and consultation with clubs, police, local Safety Advisory Groups, and other authorities, postponing the 3 fixtures was the only option.
UK Football Policing Unit and other Police forces in the country were thanked by the Premier League along with broadcast partners for their support and will continue to cooperate with them leading to the weekend.
Premier League also confirmed that tributes will be paid to The Queen at the stadiums in all the matches played during the national mourning period.
The fans who were agitated last week due to the postponing of the fixtures are questioning the reason why matches in Manchester and Brighton have been postponed when the funeral procession will take place on Monday after the matches.
Some fans have said that as all the remaining 3 fixtures are derbies, they require more police force as compared to the rest and thus remain postponed. Premier League has faced a lot of flak since the last week from the fans and should look forward to getting the scheduling back to normal once the mourning period ends.
