On Wednesday, the prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, addressed a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur. He covered all 9 assembly segments of Sitapur that will go for polls in the fourth phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly election.
The PM said that the Bhartiya Janta Party in Uttar Pradesh means control over “Dangaraj, Mafiaraj, Gundaraj,” and the people’s enthusiasm shows that BJP will retain power and their (people’s) support will be present in the remaining five phases of the election as well.
In his speech, he targeted the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party for their work during their Government in power. He said that from 2007 to 2017, their Government did not give more than 2 lakh jobs, while Yogi Adityanath’s Government gave 4.5 lakh jobs in the last 5 years.
Further, he appreciated the saffron-clad man, Yogi Adityanath, for his work in the state. He said that before the BJP government in the state, the state was ruled by dynasts, but their Government is working on liberating the people of UP from rioters and criminals.
Addressing the rally, he said there would be freedom to celebrate all festivals under the BJP government. He further ensured that the safety of the women would be acknowledged.
“Protection of daughters, women from eve-teasers and implementation of Centre’s schemes at double speed,” said PM Modi
According to the National Commission for Women (NCW), 3,100 cases of crime committed against women were recorded, with half of them from Uttar Pradesh. The number of complaints received from NCW has been the highest since 2014. According to the data, the complaints were about the right to live with dignity and domestic violence.
Listing the works done by the BJP government in the state of UP, he said that the grains the mafias used to loot are now reaching every house of the poor.
“During this entire corona period, I remained focused on one thing that such a day should not come in the house of a poor when the family had to sleep empty stomach. We were alive in this situation. The Government has spent `2.60 lakh crore to ensure that food reaches every house.”
The PM visited Sitapur for the third time. Earlier, he visited during the Lok Sabha election of 2014 and 2019.
