Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tied the knot with Dr Gurpreet Kaur in a private ceremony amid tight security.
On Thursday, Bhagwant Mann and Dr Gurpreet Kaur married at Mann’s residence in the presence of Bhagwant’s mother and sister with some few close friends, including Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha and Sanjay Singh.
There was no Band-Baja at the wedding and all the proceedings were solemnized by Sikhs rituals.

Bhagwant Mann can be seen wearing a yellow turban with a kurta-pyjama and Koti while Dr Gurpreet Kaur was wearing a red colour traditional lehenga with golden working on it, with some light makeup and golden jewellery.
The wedding proceedings were done in Mann’s house in Chandigarh in a private ceremony amid tight security.
Gurpreet Kaur is 32 years old. She shared a picture of herself on Twitter with the caption, “Din shagna da chadya” (the day of marriage has arrived).
This is the second marriage of CM Bhagwant Mann and the first for Dr Gurpreet Kaur. Dr Gurpreet is the daughter of a farmer (Inderjit Singh) in Pehwa in the Kurukshetra district. She is the youngest sister of three sisters and completed her medicine in 2018. She helped Mann during the campaign for Punjab elections earlier this year.
CM Bhagwant Mann took divorced his first wife six years ago. His former wife and two children Seerat Kaur (21) and Dilshan (17) live in the United States.
Kejriwal & Chadda’s wishes before the ceremony
Before the wedding, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha talked to reporters and gave all their best wishes to the couple while describing the wedding.
Delhi CM said “Today is a day of immense happiness that my younger brother and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Ji is getting married and is making a new beginning. May God bless him with a happy married life and both [the couple] always remain happy.”
Meanwhile, Chadda told to reporters, “A new chapter in CM Bhagwant Mann’s life is going to start today. I congratulate Mann Saab’s family, his mother and his sister. It will be a small function. Only family members will attend.

After the wedding, AAP congratulated the couple and wrote “our best wishes to Dr Gurrpreet Kaur and our beloved CM Bhagwant Mann.

Kejriwal shared his blessings and love through a message for the couple on Twitter, “Wishing Bhagwant Mann and Gurpreet Bhabhi a very happy marriage. May God keep you both very happy and give you all the happiness in the world.”
