Punjab Election Results 2022 Live Updates: Aam Aadmi Party is leading in the majority in Punjab. Chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann is leading while current CM Charanjit Singh Channi is trailing along with other senior Congress leaders like Navjot Singh Sidhu and Speaker Rana Kanwarpal Singh in their respective constituencies.
AAP is going to create the history of realignments at national level. Bhagwant Singh Mann has won his CM seat after gaining majority of votes in Punjab. With the splendid performance. After the victory in Punjab, Bhagwant Mann thanked people in his speech by saying they’ll work together to bring back the development of the state.
At the same time Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, former CM Amarinder Singh trailing in their seats, congratulated Mann and AAP on their victory. Several veteran ministers like Prakash Singh Badal, Sukhbir Singh Badal faced defeat as per current results.
As the AAP stepping towards victory in Punjab Assembly Elections, party chief Arvind Kejriwal said at the conference at party office, “Everybody gathered against AAP, and then said Kejriwal is a terrorist. The people of the country have said that Kejirwal is not a terrorist, he is the real Desh Bhakt.’
All eyes are gazing at the high-stake contest in the State where AAP has raised as a strong and major competitor of Congress. AAP is now trying to keep power in the multi-angle contest. Several exit polls have predicted that Bhagwant Mann of AAP may takeover Charanjit Singh Channi as the forthcoming CM of Punjab.
However, some exit polls have predicted a hung assembly in Punjab that has witnessed a high-bet contest on 20th February.
Out of the 1,304 candidates, 93 were women and two transgenders. 71.95 percent voter turnout recorded in the state. It was the lowest percentage as compared to the past three years of voting percentages in assembly elections.
