With a resounding 2-0 victory on Wednesday over El Salvador, Mexico is now headed for its eighth consecutive world cup in row. The match between Mexico and El Salvador was held at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. After an end cycle brimming with disturbs for the group drove by Argentine mentor Gerardo “Goodbye” Martino, the end was smooth for “El Tri”, which went undefeated in its seven home games, winning four of them and approaching an authentic limit of three.
A setback goal by Uriel Antuna inside the initial 20 minutes facilitated any nerves, and a Raul Jimenez extra shot not long before halftime basically fixed the outcome. Mexico were in absolute control in the match and El Salvador seldom undermined. With the win Mexico finishes at 2nd place in the qualifiers trailing behind Canada.

Wrapping up their qualifiers campaign on Wednesday at Estadio Rommel Fernandez, are now headed as the top finishers in CONCACAF to Qatar. The Canadians came into the game requiring only a highlight guarantee completing first in the CONCACAF qualifying last cooperative table. No. 63 Panama (6-5-3, 21 focuses) completes fifth barely out of qualifying dispute. With neither group on track in the first half, the home side went on a counter-assault in the 49th minute with Gabriel Torres, volleying home an ideal cross from Jose Luis Rodriguez.
The cross twisted past Kamal Miller with Torres guiding it home with his right foot past Maxime Crepeau into the top corner. Panama defeated Canada 1-0, securing the 5th place on the list. However, despite the loss, being the top scorer throughout Canada finished at no.1 on the list.
