Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi on his visit to Bengaluru indirectly initiated the election campaign. In his visit, he said that the Indian Economy has collapsed and unemployment and inflation, posing a major threat, have increased.
He, in his speech, said that even if the BJP government wants to provide jobs for people, they cannot provide them as they have destroyed the employment providing sector.
According to ANI, the Congress leader aiming for not less than 150 seats in Karnataka, had said that the party will bring Karnataka back on the development track. Rahul Gandhi also added that the tickets should be given to a person based on their work for the party and he urged that they should fight to make a decisive government.
On part of his two days trip to Bengaluru, Rahul Gandhi along with state Congress President DK Shivakumar and opposition leader Siddaramaiah on Thursday, 31st March 2022, visited Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s residence and paid tribute to the late actor.
Sounding the Congress’ poll bugle, Gandhi said, “Karnataka has always had the spirit of the Congress party. This is a natural state of Congress. We should be very clear in our mind that we will get not less than 150 seats. We will bring Karnataka back on the track of development.”
“It is very easy to find out who is doing real work in Karnataka. We should be deciding tickets based on the work that person is doing for Congress,” Gandhi said during the address. He added, “We should not fight the election for a close result, we should fight to make a decisive government.”
