One of the most acclaimed directors of the Indian Film Industry, SS Rajamouli created a spectacular marvel with RRR. Starring Ram Charan, NTR Jr, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt, RRR was released on 24th March 2022 and soon became a global phenomenon. RRR features a fictional friendship between two Indian revolutionary freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (NTR Jr). Although RRR was the most expensive Indian film ever made, investments by the producers paid off. RRR went on to become a great Indian success worldwide, crossing Rajamouli’s previous Bahubali Franchise.

The film was added to Rotten Tomato’s Best Films of 2022 with a rank of 46. It garnered 91% critics rating and 94% audience rating. It exceeded Marvel’s Avengers endgame which stands at 94% critics rating and 90% audience rating. This added to the film’s glamor and craze amongst both Indian and foreign audiences.
Highly appreciated and acclaimed by some of the biggest names in the Industry, Suicide Squad actor Steve Agee was the latest to join RRR’s fan club.

RRR released on Netflix on 20th May and since then it has taken the platform by storm. It emerged as a streaming success on Netflix USA, exceeding over 50% in the second week of its release. It bagged a spot in the Top 10 List of Netflix in over 57 countries, particularly dominating South Asia.
