Karnataka Government Released Rajyotsva Awardees Names on The Eve of Karnataka Rangotsava.
The Basvaraj Bommai-led Karnataka government announced the names of all the Karnataka Rajyotsava awardees on 31st October, a day ahead of Kannada Day.
Rajyotsava Awards or Rajyotsava Prashasti is Karnataka’s second-highest honour given by the state government on its establishment day celebrated on 1st November as Kannada Rajyotsava.
On 31st October, the eve of Rajyotsava, the Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai congratulated the awardees for winning the Kannada Rajyotsava and the ten organizations for winning the country’s Amrit Mahotsava on Twitter.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his best wishes to the state’s citizens on the special occasion of Karnataka Rajyotsava through his Twitter account.
He also praised Karnataka for its forefront of outstanding research and enterprise and wished the state to reach new heights of success.
Along with the Prime Minister, many other companies, organizations and people send their wishes to the Karnataka state on Twitter.
Kannada Rajyotsava
Kannada or Karnataka Day is the foundation or formation day, celebrated on 1st November every year ever since all the Kannada speaking regions merged to form the Karnataka state in 1956.
The Day is celebrated with Cultural Events, flag hosting, Processions, and honouring Rajyotsava Awards.

Karnataka Rajyotsava Prashasti is a civilian award given by the state government of Karnataka, formerly known as the Mysore State Award. The reward for the gold medal of Karnataka Rajyotsava Prashanti is worth one lakh rupees.
