On Tuesday evening, RCB defeated LSG Du Plessis by 18 runs, and Hazelwood was voted the IPL 2022 star.
Bangalore put up a fantastic performance. They had the upper hand for most of the game and were able to cross the final line convincingly.
Lucknow failed to construct middle-order stands and put little pressure on the bowlers.
Due to Faf du Plessis’ magnificent 64-ball 96 and Josh Hazlewood’s IPL career-best four-for, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs in Mumbai.
After early strikes, RCB were in a precarious position at 7 for 2, and it wasn’t all plain sailing for them.
Both Avesh Khan and Dushmantha Chameera took advantage of the slight grass cover and pounded the ground aggressively, causing a few problems upfront.
Chameera was again rewarded for his efforts, removing Anuj Rawat and Virat Kohli in quick succession.
Rawat was caught at mid-off by KL Rahul, who took a fantastic grab.
Kohli then steered a back of a length delivery to backward point that hit high up on his bat.
Glenn Maxwell used his customary sense of adventure to put the pressure back on LSG for a spell.
He drove through the covers, whipped, and pulled Chameera in the third over, bringing RCB’s run rate near to ten.
Maxwell was about to reach high speed when he was defeated by Krunal Pandya.
The explosive batter attempted a reverse sweep but was unable to beat the fielder at short third base, Jason Holder, who made a nice catch with his long levers.
The Destructive Du Plessis
RCB required a window of opportunity to locate the correct key. Ravi Bishnoi ended up bowling a no-ball in the eighth over. Suyash Prabhudessai then blasted the free-hit for a six-over long-off, which was followed by a boundary.
Even though Prabhudessai was bowled by Holder in the next over, the two strokes provided RCB some impetus.
After that, Du Plessis found an effective ally in Shahbaz Ahmed, with whom he established a crucial 70-run stand for the fifth wicket.
Despite losing Shahbaz, Du Plessis hit his 50 off 40 balls and proceeded to twin strike with strokes to accelerate the scoring rate.
He blasted Krunal for a six and a four in the 15th over. In the 18th over, he thwacked Bishnoi for a pair of boundaries, with the leg-spinner producing figures of 0 for 47 from four overs.
Dinesh Karthik hoisted Avesh over long-off for a six on the other end. In the final over, Du Plessis holed out to deep backward square leg off Holder, falling four short of a century.

RCB’s bowlers had an excellent chance of defending the target, with to the track’s hint of tennis ball bounce and the lack of dew.
When Hazlewood dislodged Quinton de Kock with the one that nipped away from the seam, he made the first incision.
Manish Pandey was likewise sent back to the hut by the towering paceman.
Harshal Patel then claimed KL Rahul’s coveted scalp, dismissing the LSG captain with a strangle down leg.

To make matters worse, his team had hiccuped its way to 44 for 3, the fourth time Royal Challengers Bangalore had lost three or more wickets in the first seven overs in six innings.
Virat Kohli and Anuj Rawat had both been dismissed by Dushmantha Chameera, with the former RCB captain’s golden duck continuing his bad run in the competition.
