Rajasthan Royals took on Instagram to announce an official statement after skipper Sanju Samson expressed disappointment.
The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League begins today, however, ahead of the league, Rajasthan Royals faced an uncalled controversy, sacked RR admin from his role by releasing an official statement on Friday.
Rajasthan Royals had shared a picture of Sanju Samson sitting in the bus using a filter and captioned “Kya khoob lagte ho (eyes emoji) (tears of joy emoji)”. However, the captain seemed disappointed with the post and expressed the same on Twitter slamming RR admin (social media team), writing: “It’s ok for friends to do all this but teams should be professional. @rajasthanroyals”.
Here’s the tweet from Sanju Samson:

Rajasthan Royals later went on to delete the tweet, but couldn’t stop fans from sharing the screenshots of the same.
The meme on the captain didn’t go well this time as the management issued an official statement after Sanju’s tweet went viral. RR took on their social media and stated the latest incident by making changes in the team and their approach on social media. The statement read:
“In the light of today’s events, we will be making changes to our approach and team on social media. Everything is well within the squad ahead of the first game as the boys prepare for SRH. The management will revisit our overall digital strategy and appoint a new team in due course. We realise that it is the IPL season and fans want the account to post updates regularly. We will find temporary solutions in the interim.”

Halla Bol as Admin is back after RR clarifies it’s a prank
Rajasthan Royals shared a couple of tweets after the official statement was released. One of the tweets was a video snippet of RR admin’s failed attempts to seek help from team players and management to stay captioned, “One last time. PS: Love you, @IamsanjuSamson.”

Early this morning, RR posted a video of management taking an audition for hiring a new RR admin. Yuzvendra Chahal, who seemed interested in taking the job role as he has done in the past a few days ago, seems to have shared a disappointment as the video was a part of the prank directed by RR admin. The tweet captioned, “This prank was incomplete without a fake audition. P.S. Tough luck, @yuzi_chahal #RoyalsFamily | #HallaBol”

Rajasthan Royals made it clear with the video that no one can beat RR admin and fill in its shoe. The franchise has gained popularity in the last two years because of the kind of engagement the admin does with the netizens. Royals’ quirky and funny posts over the years have turned a lot of potential fans into fans and this year’s team has certainly created much buzz on the internet before the start of the season.
Amongst all the franchises, Chennai Super Kings had received backlash from netizens for disgraceful tweets a few years back. Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore keeps the fans entertaining with their Twitter banter.
With the team management by their side, the Royals’ social media will keep entertaining ahead in the season and after. RR will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on March 29.
