The facebook post

Mr. Karnwal wrote in Hindi, “I did not go for any candle march or market closure. The father and brother who eat the earnings of a 19-year-old girl, whose daughter and sister works at a resort where there is open debauchery, and the girl whose friend from Jammu comes to inform the family about the scandal is the biggest culprit who let raw milk before the hungry cats.”

Ankita, a 19-year-old from Rishikesh, went missing on September 16 and wasn’t found until her body was pulled out of the Chilla canal on September 24 by the Uttarakhand administration.Â
The 19-year-old teen used to work as a receptionist at Pulkit Arya’s resort. It was claimed that Arya was pressuring Bhandari into prostitution, to which the receptionist refused. According to their police confession, she was later murdered by Arya and his two associates. Accused Pulkit Arya, the owner of the resort where Bhandari worked as a receptionist, and two accomplices, resort manager Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant manager Ankit Gupta, were arrested on Setember 23 for allegedly murdering her.
Vaibhav Pratap Singh, a revenue police sub-inspector on suspension for dereliction of duty for allegedly neglecting to register a FIR in the matter despite being asked, is also being questioned.Â
The investigation team has also recorded the statement of Ankita’s friend, with whom she spoke on the day of her murder.
The SIT has formed five teams to expedite the inquiry into the matter, which has sparked widespread public outcry in the state. It also discovered a cellphone from the Chilla canal, where Ankita was thrown . The phone has been turned over to the forensic team, according to the official.
According to the police officials, Arya and his two associates confessed to the murder. An official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that the trio may also be transported to the crime scene to determine the chronology of events.
A police officer, on Saturday, gave a statement saying that the SIT investigating the Ankita Bhandari murder case has placed the three major suspects on police remand.
Pulkit Arya, the accused
After an argument, Pulkit Arya, the son of a disgraced BJP leader, was arrested and charged with pushing the victim into a canal. Two additional suspects were apprehended in addition to Pulkit Arya.
He allegedly devised an extensive scheme to elude police. He requested that the cook prepare meals for four persons. He took food to Ankita’s room to avoid suspicion. They informed everyone in the morning that Ankita had gone missing.
Ankita worked at the resort for only 22 days, according to reports. She was murdered before she received her first paycheck.
