The Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited also known as HPCL has appointed a new director on Saturday, the 1st of October 2022.
S. Bharathan has been appointed as the new director of the third largest oil refining and fuel company.
S. Bharathan has replaced Vinod S Shenoy as the new director of the oil refinery.
Before becoming the director of HPCL, Bharathan was an executive director at Refineries Coordination with an additional charge of research and development (R and D department).
Bharathan, the new director has had a vast amount of exposure to the industry of refineries, operations, and technical departments of Mumbai, Vishakapatnam for over 25 years, according to the office’s office.
He has worked at corporate offices on margin management and refinery project management for over 4 years. Apart from this, HPCL’s Green R & D center (HPGRDC) in Bengaluru was led by S Bharathan.
With the guidance of S. Bharathan, HPGRDC has reached a new height of 238 patents.
S Bharathan replaced Vinod S Shenoy on 31st October who was already in the post of the director for 6 long years.
S Bharathan took over the charge as the new director of the Navratna company on Friday, the 30th of September.
Bharathan has a lot of exposure and experience in the industry which makes him the director of the company.
The HPCL refineries have been a company that operates its refineries across Mumbai and Visakhapatnam with an annual capacity of 9.5 million metric tonnes per the annum year 2021 to 2022 proved to be a very significant year for Hindustan Petroleum corporation
The refinery witnessed a crude processing capacity in Mumbai.
In Visakhapatnam too, there was a significant rise in the production of the gas refinery at the physical level.
The utilization was 100% throughout the year, making Hindustan Petroleum the 3rd largest refinery.
In the vicinity of Vishkah refinery, there is also Rajasthan Refinery which works in collaboration with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and the Rajasthan government.
They have equity of 74% and 26% respectively. The new director has already resumed the office and will be working till the company witnesses a new face altogether
