During the intake and polling for the fifth phase of the assembly elections, the SP candidate’s car got attacked by unknown people.
An attack was contested against the Samajwadi Party candidate Gulshan Yadav; while he was in his vehicle with other members of the Samajwadi Party, his car was attacked by some unknown people. Reportedly this incident occurred on Sunday.
According to the reports over the same incident, the vehicle was severely damaged, including the car’s front glass broken while the other parts were cross-checked. In contrast, there was no harm to the people, including the Samajwadi Party Candidate Gulshan Yadav and the other members of the SP.
His convoy was stone pelted and fired. One of the local sources who were present during the whole incident informed that almost fifty people were included in the attack. It was a deadly attack on a candidate who was startling the assembly elections.
The attack was procured area was a kilometer away from the Paharpur polling station. Gulshan Yadav is contesting elections from the Pratapgarh area against Raja Bhaiya, who is often referred to as the landlord of that constituency.
The responsibility of the attack
During the attack, the Samajwadi Party workers and the president thought that the Bharatiya Janata Party did it a few weeks earlier, SP Singh Baghel’s convoys were attacked, and BJP believed that the supporters of the Samajwadi Party conducted it.
But within the time of the battered and with the help of the investigation done by the Uttar Pradesh police, it was found that the attack was conducted and executed by the supporters of Raghu raj Pratap Singh, the candidate of Jansatta Dal. He is contesting elections from the Kunda constituency of Pratapgarh.
Singh is also an incumbent MLA of the same constituency, so it is easy for him and his supporters to pre-plan such an action.
While the allegation made on the Bharatiya Janata Party was considered a hoax, some people of the Samajwadi Party still believed that there were supporters of BJP too who were mixed in this attack.
However, still, there is no statement from the BJP regarding the same; as the party is gearing up for the sixth phase of the elections, the leaders and the party workers are working day out and day in for the last two steps of the assembly elections.
