Although Sony Entertainment Television’s popular reality show Shark Tank India has come to an end, the mentors have continued to invest in the competitors. Shark Emcure Pharmaceuticals CEO Namita Thapar recently said that she has opted to invest in a startup that she ‘regrets’ losing out on during the show.
Thapar claimed that her two regrets from her time on the reality show ‘Shark Tank India’ were ‘jugaadu Kamlesh’ and Pandurang Taware,’ while announcing the good news about her investment in the farmer’s business.
Thapar opted to partner with Taware for his agritourism business in order to avoid repeating her mistakes and learn from them. The 45-year-old shared the news with her admirers on her official Instagram account.
Thapar expressed her delight at the prospect of working with Taware to help farmers across India showcase the “beauty of our communities” to the rest of the world. Namita has previously revealed another transaction she regretted missing while speaking with comedian Rohan Joshi on his YouTube show.
“I regretted missing out on the TagZ deal–the popped, the chips with the healthy angle to it, the dip which was delicious. We really fought hard for it and we lost by like .25%. But then the three or four deals that I lost out but after the show got done.
I got in touch with them and invested in them. So, no regrets anymore,” she had said. In a blog post, Namita claimed that she had seen roughly 170 proposals and had invested Rs 10 crore in 25 startups. She put in Rs 7 crore during the performance and another Rs 3 crore afterward.
