On Thursday, former Minister and BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi claimed that the same group of conspirators were behind the “sex CD scandal” involving him and the death of contractor Santosh Patil, a case in which Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa has been charged with an allegation of suicide, and he called for a CBI investigation into both incidents.
He went on to say that after receiving clearance from the BJP’s top brass, he would reveal specifics about the case at a press conference on April 18.
The identities of the accused conspirators, on the other hand, have not been revealed by the BJP leader thus far. “Being in the company of bereaved family members makes it difficult for me to say much.” said the MLA.
“To clarify, I want to conduct a news conference on Monday at 11 a.m., after I meet with our top military officials. The Eshwarappa and Ramesh Jarkiholi cases are both being investigated by the same conspirator squad. I’d want to make it public. I will talk only after receiving clearance from the highest level of command,” Jarkiholi expressed himself.
After expressing his condolences to Santosh Patil’s family, Eshwarappa told reporters that he would not resign until the allegations of his connection or misconduct are proven. If he is shown to be at fault, the court shall penalize him. “I’m aware of what has occurred in the background. Some individuals are attempting to play the political game.” claimed the former Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj.
Jarkiholi, who was then the Water Resources Minister, in Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa’s cabinet, was accused of a sex scandal in March of last year, and a footage of the purported incident
was shown on television. He has now resigned and has said on several occasions that he is innocent and that the video was “a fraud.”
While this was going on, Santosh Patil, a Belagavi-based contractor, was discovered dead in a hotel in Udupi on Tuesday, only weeks after accusing Eshwarappa of corruption. Eshwarappa is also a prominent BJP politician. An anonymous WhatsApp message is claimed to have been sent by Santosh Patil as a suicide note to his loved ones. He holds Eshwarappa responsible for his death.
Adding to this, Jarkiholi questioned the circumstances surrounding Santosh Patil’s suicide, saying, “The previous few days, he had made a phone call to Nagesh (one of his associates) and had informed him that Ramesh Jarkiholi would soon be appointed as a Minister with the Rural Development Ministry as his portfolio and that everything would be fine. Why would he commit suicide? ” There is a question mark in the middle of the sentence. Things will be revealed on Monday, so stay tuned.
He demanded that both his CD case and the killing of Santosh Patil be turned over to the CBI for investigation, claiming that if both were turned over, the investigation would expose the identity of Maha Nayaka, the person who is responsible for both the incidents. “It is the same group of people (in both cases). Please don’t call someone out by name right now; it would be inappropriate.” said the 61 years old politician.
This is the first time Jarkiholi has opened up about the incident. He has said that there was a “Mahan Nayaka” (great leader) who was involved in this, as well as the leak of the video clip and the release of the video clip, and he has accused state Congress President DK Shivakumar of a “filthy scheme.”
Shivakumar in Bengaluru responded to Jarkiholi’s latest allegations by saying, “He should be taken into custody first. Allow them to do anything they want with him. We are prepared for everything that may come our way. ”
