On Monday, Union Minister of home Amit Shah accused the Congress and the Samajwadi Party of weakening India’s fight against terrorism.
He says that UP under the Bahujan Samaj Party and the Samajwadi Party was the hotbed for terrorism, and for the mafias, the state was known as the center of riots.
While addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit, Sitapur, and Barabanki for campaigning of UP assembly election on the last day for the fourth phase, Shah hit out at the Samajwadi Party chief.
He said that The SP wears spectacles which helps him see a particular religion from one and a particular caste from the other.
While Pilibhit and Sitapur will go on polls in the fourth phase, Barabanki’s poll is in the fifth phase.
The chief strategist of the BJP further said that during the rule of the Samajwadi Party, the administration of the Nizam prevailed.
“The NIZM of Akhilesh Babu’ means — N for Naseemuddin, I for Imran Masood, Z for Azam Khan, and M stands for Mukhtar Ansari.”
He further said that the former CM of Uttar Pradesh had promised in his 2012 manifesto that his government would release the terror accused of the Sankat Mochan and Lucknow bombing.
Resulting in which all the terrorists would have been released if the Allahabad high court had not intervened.
In a rally in Sitapur, he said,
“SP, BSP, Congress does appeasement politics, insult the armed forces, bailout terrorists. BJP works for the poor, youth, women.”
Later pointing target to the congress leader Priyanka Gandhi in a rally in Pilibhit, he said, that on the one hand, she says, topics like terrorism is ‘fizool ki Baat, on the other, her party leader Salman Khurshid used to say that SIMI people caught for the Ahmedabad blasts are innocent and they should be released.
The verbal attack came after Priyanka Gandhi’s speech in Lucknow, where she said that she does not have time for fizool (useless) topics like terrorism, while other important burning issues like unemployment, stray cattle needed to be addressed.
Sonia Gandhi, who is an MP from the Raebareli, addressed a virtual campaign on Monday. She accused the BJP government in five years to do nothing other than diving people.
She further pointed out the mismanagement of the union and UP government during the covid-19 pandemic. She said that the Modi-Yogi government gave proof of how irresponsible they are.
They turned away their faces from common people’s problems and shut their eyes to their woes. Not only this, but their behavior towards people was also not good during the lockdown. The government did not provide any relief.
She recollected how people faced difficulties during the peak time of covid-19, unable to get oxygen, beds, medicines, and many lost their loved ones.
The pandemic also disrupted the work and business of many people, while many endured the pain of having to walk for miles on foot during the lockdown.
She further stated that it is a pity that during the crisis of Covid-19, the budget for MNERGA was reduced instead of increasing.
The fourth phase of UP will go on polls on the 23rd of February with 59 assembly seats in 9 districts, including Lakhimpur Kheri, where 8 people were killed, including 4 farmers, during farmer’s protest.
The votes will be counted on the 10th of March.
