India will observe one day State Mourning to show respect and pay condolences for Queen Elizabeth’s demise. The State Mourning is to be held on Sunday of September 11th.
An official statement by the Home Ministry of India stated that India will observe a State Mourning on Sunday to pay tributes to the Late Queen.
The statement further announced that the national flag will be flown at half-mast on the day of mourning throughout India and there will be no official entertainment on the day.
“Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth-II, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, passed away on September 8, 2022. As a mark of respect to the departed dignitary, the government of India has decided that there will be one-day state mourning on September 11 throughout India,” an official statement stated.
“On the day of mourning, the National Flag will be flown at half mast throughout India on all buildings where the National Flag is flown regularly and there will be no official entertainment on the day,” a press release from the Union home ministry said.

Queen Elizabeth’s Demise
Queen Elizabeth II, the longest running monarch of England, took her last breath on Thursday of 8th September, 2022. The 96 year old Queen passed away peacefully in her Scottish Highland retreat as stated by the official statement issued by the royalty.
