In BTS Vlog, ‘BTS Suga’ takes you on a woodworking journey
BTS Suga’s sweet gestures towards his members in his solo vlog prove BTS is inseparable. Once again Suga, BTS’ Rapper and producer, invites ARMYs to learn a new skill at the woodwork shop on August 20! Suga, as seen in the first ‘In The Soop,’ has always been interested in woodwork and furniture.
He started making wood pieces with his sweet smile and eagerness to learn. Suga mentioned his six best friends in his recently released vlog, continuing the “BTS’s member talk about his members in his solo vlogs” trend.
Suga went to a woodcarving workshop to make cutting boards for his vlog. He asked his instructor how many boards he could make in three to four hours after confirming the shapes because he planned to give them to his members. He decided to make cutting boards for his members in the shape of a whale, which is a symbol of BTS and ARMYs.
The whale represents ‘Whalien 52,’ a BTS song from their 2015 album ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2’. It is based on the 52 Hertz Whale, which is said to be the world’s loneliest whale. The whale serves as a reminder to ARMYs and members alike that they are not alone and can rely on one another for support and love, happiness, and energy.
It’s also mentioned in the animated video for ‘We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal’, with the ambitious goal of making seven cutting boards, Suga got right to work, sawing, shaping, and smoothing pieces of wood before engraving them with his surname, Min.
The instructor noticed that finishing seven boards by himself might be difficult and stepped in to assist. Fortunately, Suga completed the task on time. Suga couldn’t stop talking about his teammates even as he was learning the process. He told the instructor that when everyone used to live together, he would build and assemble all of the furniture in their shared house!
A grown person would cry if all seven members of BTS had matching cute little whale-shaped cutting boards in their kitchens. Add to that fact that whales are also symbolic of ARMYs for the boys, and you have enough reason to cry for two nights and three days.
