Taliban has urged the world for international aid after houses and lives were ruined when 6.1 magnitude earthquake hit in Afghanistan.Â

An earthquake hit eastern Afghanistan early Wednesday killing as many as 1000 people and injured more than 1,500. According to the Bakhtar news agency it tore down houses and people covered in blankets were laid on the ground. The rescuers fought with the time and heavy rain poured today to reach the area. This earthquake has left hundreds homeless. The foreign ministry says that the Taliban welcomes all the support and aid they can get.
The rain and the earthquake have caused mudslides and blocked the roads to this place. It is very hard to get importance with these bad networks, says Amin Huzaifa, head of information for Paktika province. It is hard for health aid workers and rescuers to reach the affected area.Â
The Taliban government spokesman tweeted that aid had arrived from Qatar, Iran and Pakistan had trucks carrying tents, medical aids and food across the border.Â
 Taliban ask for help
Taliban has asked help from all around the world. India and the UN have vowed to help Afghanistan and the people affected with the earthquake. UN secretary- general Antonio Gutteres said that he’s saddened by the tragic loss of life in a Taliban controlled country. He also adds the United Nations in Afghanistan is well- equipped and fully mobilized. Their team is already assessing the situation and providing the needs.
India has said they are commit to help Afghanistan and will help the country in their hour of need. India has been already helping Afghanistan after the country was war torn because of the Taliban and had conflicts. It is also to be remembered that India has been sending humanitarian supplies of food and COVID-19 vaccines as they are going through an economic crisis.Â
