Early Life
American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift was born on 13th December, 1989. She was born in West Reading, Pennsylvania to father, Scott Kingsley Swift (former stockbroker for Merrill Lynch) and mother, Andrea Gardner Swift (former homemaker who used to work as a mutual fund marketing executive). She has a younger brother, Austin Swift, who is an actor.
She attended preschool and kindergarten at the Alvernia Montessori School, then transferred to The Wyndcroft School. When her family moved to Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, she started attending Wyomissing Area Junior/Senior High School. At the age of 14, her family moved to Hendersonville, Tennessee. She attended Hendersonville High School there before transferring to Aaron Academy. She graduated just one year ago.
Taylor Swift at the age of nine became interested in musical theatre. She used to travel to New York City on a regular basis for vocal and acting lessons. At the age of 12, Swift learnt to play guitar from a computer repairman and local musician Ronnie Cremer.
Career
Taylor Swift began her career as a country singer and later on became an artist to dominate the mainstream charts. She became the youngest singer in the company’s history by signing a record deal with Sony/ATV at the age of 14.
She released her first single, ‘Tim McGraw’, in 2006. Her first album was released on 24th October in 2006. She released her second album ‘Fearless’ in 2008 which became a mega blockbuster and became the longest Billboard chart-topper by a female country artist. ‘Love Story’ from the same album stayed in the Billboard charts for 36 weeks straight.
She proved herself to be a woman of many talents by making her movie debut in 2010 with the movie ‘Valentine’s Day’. She released her third album ‘Speak Now’ in 2011, fourth album ‘Red’ in 2012, fifth studio album ‘1989’ in 2014 and fifth Number 1 album ‘Reputation’ in 2017. In 2020, Taylor dropped surprise albums ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’, for her fans. It was announced in December 2022, that Swift has written a film script which is put into production.

Taylor Swift has always been in the limelight for her active dating life. She is even known to write songs for her supposedly dating partners.
She dated Joe Jonas in 2008 who broke up with her in the same year over a mere phone call. It is said that Taylor’s songs ‘Last Kiss’ and ‘Forever and ever’ are about her breakup with Jonas. She even dated the Hollywood heartthrob Lucas Till but later both realised that they’re better as friends. In between 2009-2012, she explored her dating life but nothing worked.
Her most divisible relationship was with Harry Styles, both the artists dated in 2012, their fans were quite excited for both of them but it didn’t work out in the end. Currently she is dating Joe Alwyn. Both of them have been together since 2017 and are still going strong. It is said that Taylor’s song ‘Gorgeous’ is definitely about Joe.
