SHAHDOL: A teacher in Madhya Pradesh has been suspended and an enquiry ordered after he purportedly asked a 10-year-old tribal understudy girl to remove her dirty uniform in front of other students, an authority said on Sunday.

An picture of the incidents, took place in Bara Kala town of Shahdol locale on Friday, surfaced on social media in which the Class 5 understudy was seen exclusively in her underpants and the educator, Shrawan Kumar Tripathi, was seen washing her uniform and seen other girls standing nearby her.
The understudy needed to sit in that condition for around two hours till her uniform dried, a few villagers claimed.
After the incident, Tripathi, posted as a teacher in a government private school run by the tribal affairs department in the village shared photos of the occurrence on a WhatsApp group of the office, while naming himself as “Swachhata Mitra” (tidiness volunteer), an authority said.
The villagers expressed anger while the pictures of the incident got viral on social media.
When contacted, MP Tribal Welfare Department’s assistant commissioner Anand Rai Sinha told PTI that after he came to know about pictures of the incident, Tripathi was suspended on Saturday.
Subsequently after seeing the young girl’s dirty uniform, the educator purportedly requested that she take it off and wash it in front of other students , the authority said.
Sinha said he has additionally requested an investigation into the incident.
