Telangana Ranks First In The Clean City List Of The Swachh Bharat Scheme

Telangana has been ranked first in the large state category of the Swachh Survekshan Grameen scheme. In addition to this, the state has topped with various awards in the overall district category of the South Zone.

Swachh Survekshan is a scheme associated with the Swachh Bharat Mission. The main motto of the scheme is to take an annual survey of the states to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.

Vikas Sheel, the director of the swachh Bharat mission, announced the 2022 list of clean cities. In a letter to the secretary, he mentioned that the awards would be presented on October 2nd.

National Cleanliness Day is celebrated as Swachh Bharat Diwas on October 2nd in New Delhi. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi started this mission in 2014 to make India a cleaner environment.

The vision of the scheme is to turn all the cities into clean and hygienic ones. Every year, the best state gets the clean city award in the swachh Bharat Diwas event.

This year, Telangana topped the list as the best city. The state has done this only because of the efforts taken by the Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekhar Rao, and Minister KT Rama Rao.

The rural development minister, E Dayakar Rao, shares his vote of thanks to the chief minister for his constant support.

The Telangana government is very concerned about turning the state into a better place. It has announced various schemes, such as Palle Pragathi, to develop the rural areas.

With that program, it has turned 19 villages into better places. Those 19 villages have been awarded the national award.

India’s vision to make the country as clean as possible is just a few steps away. If all the states take the initiative to turn the place into a welcoming environment.
