According to the police, a bank manager from Rajasthan was shot dead by suspected militant in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, only days after a lady teacher was killed outside a school in the district. There is no way to end terrorism in Kashmir.
At the Areh Mohanpora village in Kulgam, terrorists opened fire on the bank manager of the Ellaqui Dehati Bank (EDB), Vijay Kumar from Hanumangarh. Kumar was badly injured in the attack and was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medics.
“A bank employee (manager) at Ellaqie Dehati Bank in Areh Mohanpora, Kulgam district, was shot and killed by terrorists.” In this terror attack, he got serious gunshot wounds. He lives in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. The area has been sealed off. “Further information will be provided,” the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department said.
According to police sources, Kumar has only been in his new job for a few days.
The attack comes just two days after a Hindu teacher from Jammu, Rajni Bala, was killed by terrorists outside a school, also in Kulgam.
Three soldiers were injured in another incident early this morning when their vehicle exploded. One of the soldiers is in critical condition.
The three soldiers had allegedly taken a private vehicle for an anti-terrorist operation, according to the army. They claimed the explosion occurred as they were driving to the target area.
A joint team of J-K Police, Indian Army, and paramilitary troops sealed off the region shortly after the incident to track down the attackers.
“The death of Mr. Vijay Kumar, a resident of Hanumangarh, Rajasthan, and working in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, is very condemnable,” Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted. I want God to grant him peace and strength for his family. “
He stated the NDA government “has failed to restore peace in Kashmir,” he stated, criticising the Modi government. According to the federal administration, citizens in Kashmir should be safe. Such brutal killings of our citizens will not be condoned. “
