Dior’s representation towards their fashion is always unique and iconic. Matter of fact Dior is hardly interested in maintaining its status quo. Their fall/winter 2022 show titled ‘The Next Era’ lived up to its fame thanks to its multi diversity of groundbreaking detailing and silhouettes. As it is the first Maison’s fashion show in Korea the collection will be presented at Ewha Womans University.
The decision to forego familiar ground planted the label on a sleek, it was previously unexplored by the French Luxury House. They even collaborated with Italian label, D-Air which proved to be unforeseen. The start-up was tapped to give away their expertise to padded bodysuits, neon paneled racing gloves and protective harnesses. A monumental shout out from Dior’s characteristic gown like cuts and super feminine aesthetic.
Then the spring collection 2022 which focused on the human connections especially presenting the isolation amidst the pandemic. When asked in an interview about the inspiration behind this collection with Vogue to Maria Grazia Chiuri she said, “I’m not interested in this moment, it’s more important to speak about humanity. I’d like us to be more together and support each other, and put value on work,”. She continued, “Probably, I’m a little bit old-fashioned, but I’m more interested in the real thing. I prefer to spend time with real people.”
