GoPro is slated to release its newest action camera, the GoPro Hero 10 Black, in the following months. Now we have a better idea of what enhancements we might see on the upcoming gadget.
According to WinFuture, leaked GoPro Hero 10 Black photos indicate that the forthcoming action camera would have better image quality. A GP2 processor might be included in the device, allowing users to shoot 5.3K video at up to 60 frames per second.
Furthermore, unlike the Hero 9, which only manages 5K at 30FPS, users would not have to pick between 5K and glass-smooth frame rates.
According to a report by Roland Quandt and WinFuture, the Hero 10 will gain a better sensor, a new processor, and more excellent video stabilization.
5.3K/60fps video, 23MP stills
To enable high-resolution photos, GoPro has equipped the Hero 10 action cam with a larger 23MP camera, up from the Hero 9’s 20MP.
The sensor will capture videos in 5.3K at 60 frames per second and 4K at 120 frames per second, which is a massive boost over the Hero 9’s frame rates.
In the meantime, 4K videos can be captured at up to 120 frames per second. The Hero 10 will also feature a 2.7K resolution at 240fps for creating incredibly high-quality slow-motion footage.
New Processor
The camera’s performance has been improved thanks to the new GP2 processor. According to leaked GoPro marketing materials, the Hero 10 will come with the upgraded HyperSmooth 4.0 video stabilization technology, which builds on earlier incarnations of the video stabilization technology and should be able to give “gimbal-like stabilization.”
The live streaming quality remains at 1080p, and it appears that the TimeWarp 3.0 technology, which provides additional acceleration and control to time-lapse videos, is not being improved.
Waterproofing to a depth of 10 metres (33 feet) is also kept, as is compatibility for RAW photographs, SuperPhoto, HDR, and webcam mode.
Price and launch date
Quandt and WinFuture have yet to specify how much GoPro Hero 10 Black will cost or when released.
However, based on the Hero 8 Black and Hero 9 Black launch patterns, we can anticipate GoPro announcing a successor to its robust, compact, and dependable action camera series around September.
