On international museum day, Pink city got a new gift that adds another feather to its crown. A new tourist destination,’ Khajana Mahal ‘was introduced to the Pink City – Jaipur on the occasion. A Museum of Gems and Jewelry, Crafts, Heritage, Folklore and a lot more. Jaipur is a city of ancient forts and royal palaces, a place where visitors will find sweeping views of lush green hills and some of the finest hotels in the world. Nicknamed the Pink City, Jaipur forms a point on the Golden Triangle, the tourism trail that connects the Indian capital New Delhi with Jaipur and Agra, home of the iconic Taj Mahal. It is the gateway to Rajasthan, the aptly named land of kings and a city steeped in history and early architectural innovation. Jaipur is a city with enough palaces to visit a new one every day of the week.

Set up in a 100-year-old heritage haveli, Khazana Mahal is situated close to the Jal Mahal and historically famous Parshuram Dwar, where the Ashwamedha Yagya was accomplished initially by Lord Ram and then by Raja Sawai Jai Singh in 1734. The time to go in it will be from 8 am to 5 pm. Photo ID card will be taken from the tourists for security. Entry will be done only after the ID is scanned. Indian adults and children tickets cost Rs 500, and 1500 for foreigners. There will be an audio guide facility for the tourists. By installing the application during entry, visitors will be able to hear information about different parts of the museum in the mobile itself. Visitors will be able to get information in Hindi, English, Spanish, French apart from Tamil and Telugu. Head phones will be given to the visitors here. So that the visitor can easily understand everything. This museum based on gem stones and ornaments will be a gift for domestic and foreign tourists. Keeping in mind the tourists of all ages, various attractions have been prepared here. This museum, built at a cost of about 6 crores, is almost ready, which will be opened near the Jal Mahal in the second week of June. The security of this place is also special due to being valuable. Hence 125 CCTV cameras have been installed. Also the wall is so thick that even the bombs did not explode.
Why to visit ? What are the attraction spots ?
From 9:30 minute films to more than 400 types of jewelery made from more than 20 thousand gems are shown in the mini theater. The museum will tell the journey of casting rare stones like gem stones into jewellery. Hence, an 8-minute film will be screened in a mini theater with a capacity of 21 people. In this, the scene of the jeweler’s market of the early times has been created. A group of 15 people will be formed to visit the palace. These will be rotated for 1 hour. Meanwhile, a film named Patthar Ki Kahani will also be shown. Bones of millions of years old dinosaurs will be seen. Jewelery worn by actor-actress in Bollywood is also kept here. In Rameshwaram, art like Khajuraho will be seen on the floating stone and ruby stone. This Khazana Mahal has been prepared by Anoop Srivastava, Founder Director of Jaipur Wax Museum with the collection of Dr. Rajnikant Shah of Museum of Gem and Jewelery Federation. In the nature part of this art gallery, the journey of making stone jewelry from the mines will be seen. Imported stones and jewelery made from them, stones of different sizes from the quarries will be shown. Here the craftsmanship of Khajurao has been engraved on 2.5 lakh carat ruby stone of South India. The 5000 thousand kg South Indian Ruby Stone has been given the shape of a throne. In the fossil section, fish bones, millions of years old dinosaur bones, rainbow colored stones, healing stones, besides Astro, Ratna Bhavan, Vastu and Ricky stones will be seen. - Here is a wine made from Pure Gold. Liquor made of 24 carat gold has been kept in this bottle.
- The world’s largest ring adorned with 111 kg of Ashtadhatu and semi-precious stones.
- This crown worn by Mumtaz in the film Taj Mahal was also kept in the museum.
- Here is the real tooth of a shark. which is valuable.
- Along with this, the stone of Egypt’s mummy will also be seen in the treasure palace.
- Handcrafted 450 kg Ganesh idol using Aventurine stone, 1995. Single stone animal art made of Indian ruby.
- Stones with Rameshwaram written on Sri Rama, which seem to be floating on the surface of the water.
- Precious ornaments worn by Madhuri in Devdas are also kept here.
- Special stones of Sun, Moon, Buddha, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu of the new planets.
- A collection of 500 types of stamps from different countries based on gem stone was kept.
- Jewelry made of Brazilian Golden Grass. This grass grows only for 2 months in a year. It is made by 500 families from there.
- Many types of precious diamonds have also been decorated in the museum along with the replica of Kohinoor.
- An idol kept in the museum is decorated with each ornament of sixteen shringars. In the second phase, the ropeway of the mines will be shown with the help of virtual and artificial intelligence.
- The natural ruby obtained from Coorg, which weighs 6 lakh carats, made the statue of Lord Surya from this stone specially prepared by Jitesh Garg for this museum. Its weight is 6 lakh carats, length 2.5 feet, which took 4 years to complete .
