The top 10 wealthiest Indian women, released by Kotak private banking Hurun highlight the net worth of self-made women or women entrepreneurs.
Hurun India and the private banking division of Kotak Mahindra Bank have complied with a list of the richest Indian women. The wealthiest women’s net worth as of December 31, 2021, was revealed in the third edition of the “Kotak private banking Hurun- leading affluent ladies list”.
The report’s 2021 edition focuses solely on female business tycoons who have established themselves in the corporate sector. The research identifies the top 100 self-made or working professionals and businesswomen in India who are women entrepreneurs.
As opposed to Rs 100 Cr in 2020, the cut-off for the new list is projected to be Rs 300 Cr. The average worth of the women on the 2021 list is around Rs 4,170 Crore, up from Rs 2,725 Crore in 2020.
Chairperson of HCL technologies, Roshni Nadar Malhotra bagged the first spot in the Kotak-Hurun list of wealthiest Indian women, followed by Nykaa founder Falguni Nayar fetching the second spot in the list.

1.Roshni Nadar Malhotra
Roshni Nadar Malhotra, 40, chairperson of HCL technologies tops the list of wealthy women in 2021 for the second year in a row released by the Kotak private banking Hurun. Her net worth is estimated to be INR 84,330 crore. In HCL’s history, the company backed the purchase of seven IBM products worth INR 13,740 crore under her leadership.
2. Falguni Nayar
Nykaa founder and CEO, Falguni Nayar, 59, bagged the second spot with her net worth of INR 57,520 crore in the 2021 list. She crowns as India’s richest self-made woman and the world’s tenth richest self-made woman. Falguni Nayar had previously worked with the Kotak Mahindra Group for nearly two decades before starting Nykaa.
3. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw
Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, 69, the founder of Biocon, made her name on the list as the richest self-made billionaire in India. Shaw has been thinking of ways to lower the cost of medicine for impoverished nations. Her net worth of Rs 29,030 Crore was recorded third highest after Nayar.
4. Nilima Motaparti
Nilima Motaparti, 40, director at Divi’s Laboratories, has overseen all facets of Divi’s Laboratories’ material sourcing and procurement, corporate finance, and investor relations for the past five years as a company director. Almost the course of the year, her fortune increased by over 50%. she ranked fourth on the list of India’s wealthiest women with a net worth of Rs 28,180 Crore.
5. Radha Vembu
Radha Vembu, 69, is the co-founder of Zoho. Her net worth today: is Rs 26,260 crore ranking her fifth on the list. Vembu and her brother Sridhar Vembu started the IT business, and they have shared leadership of it since 2007. This Zoho mail product manager, who is based in Chennai, had a 127% increase in her fortune in a single year.
6. Leena Gandhi Tewari
Leena Gandhi Tewari, 65, is the chairperson of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology company USV. Her net worth is listed as being INR 24,280 Crore. She is the most philanthropic individual on the list with donations totaling over 24 crore rupees. This made her name in the Hurun India Philanthropy list 2021 as well.
7. Anu Aga and Meher Pudumjee
Anu’s(79) daughter Meher(56) was appointed Thermax’s chairperson in 2003 and has successfully run the business since Anu resigned from the board of directors in 2018. The mother-daughter team’s fortune increased by over 148% in the previous year. Their estimated net worth today is Rs 14,530 crore.
8. Neha narkhede
Confluent co-founder Neha Narkhede, 38, with a net worth of Rs 13,380 crore, is the seventh richest new member on the list. According to the research, Confluent’s market value increased by 25% in June 2021 to $ 11.4 billion (84,930 crores).
9. Vandana lal
At the ninth spot on the list is Vandana Lal, 65, another new entrant. A director at Dr. Lal PathLabs, she has a net worth of Rs 6,810 crore. She joined the business in 1983 and currently serves as the director of research and development for Dr. Lal Pathlabs. She earned a master’s degree in pathology from lady Hardinge Medical College.
10. Renu Munjal
Renu Munjal, 67, wife of the late Raman Munjal, rounds up the top 10. She currently serves as managing director of Hero FinCorp. She also participates in a number of humanitarian initiatives.
