Israel and Palestine have been fighting off a long-run conflict and still fail to have a mutual consensus. Firing Rockets at each other, spreading propaganda, hate, and discontentment all of which affect nonetheless, the innocent civilians. This brings us into a loop of more and more disputes, ending up with just violence and no beneficial solutions.
Politicians and leading figures from both sides influence citizens in a wrong and provocative manner which leads to unrest and hatred in the state. Such misleads the public to consider companions as enemies, benefitting no one but the partialists and sheer propagandists.
As the Map, suggests three chunks of land can be seen differently as Gaza, West Bank, and Golan Heights. The Golan Heights is a matter of conflict between Syria and Israel for almost half a century now and remains a territorial clash. The other two parts are the Gaza and West Bank. The Palestinian Authority currently administers some 39% of the West Bank. 61% of the West Bank remains under direct Israeli military and civilian control. Gaza strip is ruled by Hamas – so-called a terrorist group or freedom fighters. Jerusalem – The capital city, holds the importance of religion and culture for Both Jews and Islamic populations, and as a result, has been divided into east and west sides, but is ruled by Israel. Conflicts and Wars have been changing the demographics of Israel and Palestine over the past decades. Improper Management and rule over the area have led to a decline in the development rate of the State.
Recent Missile strikes between Hamas and Israel have harmed civilians, destroyed buildings, and has created an alarming environment. Overall all of it has hampered the countries, Economically, Socially and Ecologically. Taking references from the Past, More Wars and Disputes would end up in more demographic differences and would break the integrity of the nation further. Civilians as usual face the consequences they don’t deserve. A Two-State Partition proposed by the UN with Jerusalem under the International administration has failed to create peace or any conclusion for the States. United Nations kept its hold against the after-fought wars, which caused further annexation of Palestine state shrinking them to over 2⁄3 of the past territory. No agreement yet, for the Two-State Solution, displays its failure on the issue.
A One-State Solution is an option that can be approached, and the only option that would keep the state of Israel and Palestine. United. Proponents of a unified Israel advocate a single state in Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, with citizenship and equal rights in the combined entity for all inhabitants of all three territories, without regard to ethnicity or religion. The formation of a United Confederation of Israel and Palestine would be difficult indeed but in a long term, the benefits cannot be counted. Hurdles such as Internal Conflicts, Discrimination, and Corruption would be a challenge to look after. The Possibilities of a Civil war also becomes an ultimatum to solve. Keeping in Regard, Removing Social Barriers between the Jews and Muslims won’t be an easy task as the extremists of both the side cause hardships in achieving this peaceful and sustainable goal. The media, the liberals, and the pacifists are bridges to curb differences in their ideology and mindsets. A Democratic Confederation would ensure that equality and unity in diversity exist. Countries such as Belgium and Austria are an example of how we can tackle differences in the population peacefully and effectively. This proves that Peaceful Resolutions are always an option and the sides need to be considerate about the conditions on both the end, without seeking a selfish turn and how addressing situations in a peaceful manner benefits the country in a long term.
Concluding, The United States of Israel and Palestine (USIP) could be a place for love, harmony, and peace regardless of the challenges as gradually they shall be overcome through understanding and mutual consideration by the State and by the Citizens. The USIP could consist of a powerful and mindful population carrying a sense of brotherhood and integrity and could be a future asset to the world.
