After breaking two and a half years of silence Thomas Tuchel posted a statement on Twitter stating his disappointment and grief to leave the club and its fans…
On 11th September German Manager Thomas Tuchel who was last seen in 2020 giving any kind of statement on social media platforms like Twitter finally broke the chain of two and a half years to tweet and confess his feeling and gratitude to the club fans and their support.
It was on 7th September 2022 that the German Gaffer of Chelsea Football Club was sacked by the management authority of the club.
What is the reason behind Tuchel?
All the strings were seen to be attached to this situation when the situation had been seen deteriorating and weakened between him and the club along with the squad.
The team was seen not performing and giving their best performance and the very start of the 2022/23 season. They face their third defeat in seven matches in competition including Premier League where they lost to clubs like Southampton and Leeds United and also to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
As far as the sources it has been said that when the team arrived in London after their champion league defeat, a meeting was fixed around 9.30 am with Tuchel and the club officials after which they communicated with him and came up with the statement about him departing from his role and Chelsea.
Why was it hard for him to depart from Chelsea?
It was in January 2021 when Thomas Tuchel signed an 18-monthly contract with Chelsea after his spell with Paris Saint-German, replacing Frank Lampard. He was the first German-appointed head coach of the club.
After Thomas Tuchel was hired, he delivered achievements like the champions league victory against Manchester City in Porto, 2020-21 just 4 months after his start with the club.
He took Chelsea to European Cup Final where they won against Villareal in Belfast.
Not only that he even won the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi in February 2021, and also he made the club reach two FA cup finals.
These all achievements executed by the club with help of Thomas Tuchel made him very attached to the fans and their emotions leading him to feel very devastated and sad while departing them forever.
He even said that “the pride and joy I felt at helping the team to win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever. I am honored to have been a part of this club’s history and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart”.
Thomas Tuchel was in charge of Chelsea for 100 games since his joining out of which he won 60 matches, draw 24 matches, and lost 16 matches. Also, read Champions League: Tuchel says it’s Alarming after Chelsea Vs Real Madrid.
